Vic Snyder is a Methodist physician, born in Oregon in 1947, and has served in the US House of Representatives since 1997. A veteran of the US Marine Corps. from 1967 to 1969, he represents Arkansas' 2nd District, which covers several counties just north of Little Rock. He is up for re-election in 2010. The website www.ontheissues.com scores him a leftist liberal, and the American Conservative Union has given him a score of 5 for 2008 and a lifetime score of 12.5, very low by their standards. Meanwhile, the liberal Americans for Democratic Action gave him a score of 90 in 2008 and 85 in 2007, which means he is very liberal indeed.
